vianne
Twenty-one-year-old Bulgarian-American singer/songwriter Vianne is carving her own path through the international music scene, blending the timeless soul of jazz with a fresh, modern edge. Her sound carries echoes of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, yet moves with a spirit entirely her own—rich, heartfelt, and undeniably contemporary.
Her 2023 EP, Blue—a collaboration with producer and creative partner Silas Short, and featuring Grammy-winning musician Taylor Graves (Thundercat)—offered a glimpse into the depth of her evolving artistry.
Born Vianne Ignatoff in Tucson, Arizona, her early years were a tapestry of contrasts, spent between the sun-soaked rhythms of the American Southwest and the deep-rooted traditions of Bulgaria. Music was her constant thread, guiding her from the soulful sounds of classic jazz to the pulse of modern R&B. By thirteen, her path was clear, and by sixteen, her breakout single Drop Dead had already surpassed a million streams—marking the arrival of a bold new voice.
With an effortlessly captivating stage presence, Vianne has performed at SXSW and shared the stage with artists as diverse as Snarky Puppy, Macy Gray, Jordan Rakei, Chet Faker, and Bilal. Now based in London, where she honed her craft studying Music Production at the University of the Arts London, she continues to explore the depths of her sound while uplifting the next generation of female artists through songwriting and production collaborations.
Her forthcoming EP, Time Passes—co-written and co-produced with Jacob Lobo of Geejay—marks a new chapter, one that reveals even more of Vianne’s soul: honest, timeless, and brimming with emotion.
